"As soon as I arrived at City l I was greeted by friendly faces. One of them was Sambo's. He was very accommodating and not pushy at all. Before I even had to ask about touring temples or visiting the city central he was informing me of some of my options and that he was there to help if I needed it. It was like he was reading my mind. Within my first half hour he had helped to arrange transportation to see the sunset at a temple,as well as a one day visit for the following day. He was to be my guide. He even agreed to my 5 am departure to see the sun rise at Angkor Wat. Sambo catered to my needs by asking me where I wanted to visit. We took our time walking through the temples and he made sure that I did not feel rushed. I was relaxed and able to "take it all in." He also took me to a cafe for breakfast and gave me time (as much as I needed) to eat, write in my journal and gain back some energy for our trip to the other temples.Sambo showed me details in the temple walls that I don't think I would have noticed it I had gone on my own. He explained Hindu and Buddhist stories and religions well. I felt that all my questions were answered well - even the general ones about Khmer culture and opinion.Sambo came across as intelligent and easy going. This open and friendly nature made me feel that I could ask him to arrange whatever I needed. I recommend his services to anyone. Really an enjoyable trip!" April, 2009 "Sambo has always been exceptionally helpful and will go out of his way to make sure all our needs are taken care of. Sambo has organised short tours for my teams a number of times and he's always polite, professional, friendly and given his experience in the industry, everything just gets done. A great guy to work with! - Cindy Angel, World Youth International"

Recommended Sambo Guide
I recently took a trip in Southeast Asia and went through Cambodia, a country I didn't know much about and felt that without a guide my experience in this country wouldn't be as a good. Two of my friends recently went on their honeymoon and recommended Mr. Sambo to me, and I am glad they did! He was a great guide from beginning to end of my stay in Cambodia even though he was my guide only in Siem Reap. Before I got to Phnom Penh, Sambo suggested everything that I should see (a great list of places), how to get everywhere, and the amount of time I should stay in each place (he was right about everything). I finally met him in Siem Reap, where he picked me up at the bus station and drove me to my hotel (a great 3 star hotel at a very reasonable price, with pool, restaurant, nice big and clean room, and very quite and relaxing despite being less than a 10min walk to the heart of town and the infamous 'Pub Street'), after quickly getting settled in,he didnt waste any time and we went out to the local art university, where he got me a guide that gave me great explanations about everything I was seeing. Sambo then took me to the ticket office and we went to see a temple real quick before it closed. That's what we did the entire next day, more of the amazing temples! Sambo was extremely knowledgeable about everything regarding these awesome structures, he knew the history and was able to explain it very well, and he was also able to describe to me the scenes in the carvings in all the temples, really bringing the whole experience together (it also didn't hurt that he knew the best places to get great pictures, off the path and away from the other tourists, great views and knew where to find the most pristine stone carvings, worth having Sambo just for this!).He then completed my whole experience with a great boat ride through a floating fishing village, where Sambo gave me a taste of what being a local was like. As for food, he made sure I ate extremely well, recommending me nothing but excellent places to go to, I enjoyed some great Beef Amok and Lok Lak while in his company, and then I was truly privileged to be invited to his home where his wife cooked up the best meal I had while in Cambodia (stir fried beef with onions, green tomatoes and a delicious peppercorn dipping sauce, as well as stir fried pork with pineapple, green pepper, green tomato and onions, amazing!).Having Sambo as my guide made my trip to Cambodia much better, he gave me a true understanding of the country and what it's people and history are like (his spoken English is very good too!).
